Frederick E. Curtis is a graduate of the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling Program. He is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. He is also a United States Marine Corps Veteran. His growth and development are impacted by war, substance abuse, trauma, and individuals with disabilities. He thinks of himself as a man with positive and negative characteristics: I’m human and flawed. I’m resilient. The resiliency comes from a variety of experiences that have shaped and formed him into who he is today. He’s lived and learned by the laws of the universe and his therapeutic style is an integrative approach to the specific client. The style which resonates most with him is the humanistic client centered approach. He has a strong spiritual belief and he feels strongly about Carl Jung’s theoretical approach to providing service.
